To the lawyers of Ukraine
Accept my sincere greetings on the occasion of the holiday, the publicity of which goes far beyond the limits of one profession. The only fact of establishing the Lawyer’s Day proves the will of independent Ukraine to obtain the status of legal state, predetermined by its Constitution.
There are still enough difficulties and barriers on this way, both inherited from the past and generated by modern era. That is why it is difficult to overestimate the importance of historical mission and vocation of our lawyer’s community. First of all it lies in permanent, consistent and competent protection of fundamental human ideals and values, active caring about everything that is connected with law, starting from justice.
The practice of state building, construction of civil society, and democratization of our existence proves the understanding of their professional and civic duty that materializes in particular actions, conscientious and responsible work. This lays a firm basis for implementation of further qualitatively new tasks.
